Dr. Emily V. Bell (she/her) is a social scientist who investigates cognition and collaboration for adaptation to pressures of land-use change and climate change. Her expertise lies in integrated water resource management, public water systems, and regional water planning and management. Bell's current work focuses on representation in collaborative decision-making processes. As a fellow for the University of Georgia Center for International Trade and Security, she consults for the Savannah River National Laboratory to advise collaborative efforts in the Department of Energy's disposal of reclassified nuclear waste. Bell is also leading a study in Uruguay, Brazil, and the United States to advance automatic detection of representation challenges that arise in collaborative watershed planning processes.
