Dr. Alysha Helmrich is an Assistant Professor in the College of Engineering at the University of Georgia. She identifies as an urban systems engineer, sustainability and resilience researcher, and convergence scholar. Her research is focused on urban resilience and navigating periods of stability and instability. Helmrich has expertise in infrastructure systems, systems-thinking (specifically, complexity and social-ecological-technological systems (SETS) perspectives), decision-making, and participatory workshops.
